The Norwegian footballers settle in to La Manga Club

The best teams from the Norwegian league settle in to La Manga Club, from this January until March. The national teams of this country will also be centred in the resort, in their categories U17 and U19 men, and U19 and U23 women.

La Manga Club, 26th January 2017- One year on, the best teams from the Norwegian league have chosen La Manga Club to compete in various friendly matches. This will help them prepare for the next season in their country.

With more than four decades’ experience hosting for the best international football teams, La Manga Club is the usual destination for preseason or team training. A number of Norwegian clubs have chosen La Manga Club, for another year, to carry out their training. Also, Strømsgodset, Vålerenga, Lilleströn and Sandefjord all of which are members of LillesTippeligaen (the first Swedish division). But they are not the only ones, other teams such as Jerv, Kongsvinger and Strømmen will also be enjoying all of the services that La Manga Club has to offer.

Additionally, the international scouts, that are guests at La Manga Club for these months, will have the opportunity to discover young talent in the matches of the International Tournament of U17 and U19 National Teams.This competition starts on 9th February between the National U17 teams of Norway and Sweden. On the 11th, the Swedish team will compete in another match again Czech Republic and will play against Poland on the 13th. The U19 men will do the same on the 10th February, competing with Republic of Ireland. On the 12th they will be against Slovakia, and to finish, will play against the Portuguese national team.

Noruega Sub-19 La Manga Club

Also coming to La Manga Club this March is the Norwegian women football team. The players of the national U23 team will go head to head with the Japanese national team on 4th March and will have another match on 6th of that month against the US national team. For its part, the Norwegian U19s will play against the American and Danish women on 3rd and 7th March, respectively.

All of the players will have access to 8 all natural FIFA sized grass pitches at La Manga Club, along with the rest of the resort’s facilities, such as the advanced installations in the High Performance Centre (HPC).
