Junior Tennis Academy

The Junior Tennis Academy, organised by various levels of age- under 6, under 8, under 9, under 12, under 15 and under 19- is aimed at both those children who are taking their first steps in the world of tennis, and for young people with some level of experience and technique who just want to improve their skills.

It is essential to book into the academy in advance.

*Each group will consist of 6 players and 1 professional one. In order for the academy to take place, a minimum of 3 players are required to take part. If this mimimum is not reached, a customised program will be developed representing the value of the reserved academy.

Junior Academy under 6 (5 hours), under 8, under 9 (10 hours)

Following the official guidelines of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), our coaching team implement ‘Tennis 10s: Slower Balls, Smaller Courts, Easy Game.’ Using slower balls will help players to develop the most efficient technique and to implement advanced tactics that in most cases could not be performed using the yellow ball on the full court. Our La Manga Club coaches will ensure a fantastic, fun tennis experience that allows young or
inexperienced players to learn the skills and tactics of tennis and actually play the game quickly.

Under 6: red balls played on a smaller court.
Under 8: orange balls (50% slower than the yellow) and play on a slightly smaller court.
Under 9: green balls (25% slower than the yellow) and play on a full sized court.

Junior Academy under 12, under 15, under 19 (10 hours)

The Junior Academy runs from Monday to Friday offering group coaching for the U19’s of all abilities. We cover all major aspects of the game, delivered through a structured programme at the appropriate intensity for the group. Our team of highly qualified teaching professionals make tuition fun and competitive. Throughout the week, there are daily demonstrations giving all players an insight into the modern game.
