La Manga Club’s South Course
La Manga Club has three of the best golf courses in Murcia: The West Course, the North Course and the South Course.
The South golf course at La Manga Club, designed by Putman and later remodelled by Arnold Palmer, has been the go-to location for a number of top-level professional tournaments, such as various Spanish Opens, qualifying championships for the PGA, and various European tours.
The white tee is around 6,500 metres long with water hazards on 15 of its 18 holes and with few hidden dangers. The front nine is particularly complicated, with two par 3s of around 200 metres and some challenging par 4s that demand tight control of play between lakes and bunkers. The back nine, although shorter, has various doglegs to take into account.
