Craig Shave wins the European PGA IV International Pro-Am celebrated at La Manga Club
After three days competing, the winner of La Manga Club IV Pro-Am is Craig Shave. With regards to the team competition, the winners Lukasz Szadny, together with Waldemar Kowalczykowki, Krzystof Burlaski and Marek Rakocy, whose team has finished with 257 points (-41). Countries such as England, Holland, Poland and Italy have been represented in the fourth edition of this international golf tournament.

Golfers from various countries like England, Holland, Poland and Italy have participated in the fourth edition of La Manga Club International Pro-AM, from 7th to 9th March. It signifies the fourth consecutive year that the exclusive resort receives this international golf tournament that is included in the European PGA.
The British golfer Craig Shave (PGA of Great Britain and Ireland) has proclaimed his title as winner of the European PGA IV International Pro-Am, celebrated at La Manga Club, with seven shots below par. In second place, the Polish Lukasz Szadny with 217 shots and in third place, the Dutch Joost Steenkamer with 219 shots. With regards to the team competition, the winners are Lukasz Szadny, together with Waldemar Kowalczykowki, Krzystof Burlaski and Marek Rakocy, whose team finished with 257 points (-41). The organization shared out a total of 20,000 euros with the first prize amounting to 3,500 euros.
This tournament takes place in collaboration with the European PGA (Professional Golf Association) who are in charge of controlling the event, rating the tournament, assembling the courses, rules of the tournament and scores.
North and South Golf Courses
The tournament took place on the North and South courses at La Manga Club: The first and last day of the competition were held on the South course, while the North course saw the second day’s action. The players were able to have an unforgettable experience, and were able to enjoy the great weather. The participants offered their best game, and were also making the most of the golf courses and the rest of the facilities at La Manga Club including a complete programme for their whole stay, including a prize giving ceremony, which took place last Friday night.

The golf facilities at La Manga Club include three 18-hole golf courses: the North course, designed by the prestigious Robert Dean Putman; the South course, devised by Putman and remodeled afterwards by Arnold Palmer; the West course, created by Dave Thomas; along with Pitch & Putt, designed by Severiano Ballesteros, perfect for improving your short game, without forgetting the Training Centre, considered the best in Europe, and the new Golf Academy ‘La Manga Club Golf Training Centre’, with a new concept of teaching lead by the reputable instructor Thomas Johansson and his team.
The IV International Pro-Am is one of the first golf tournaments to be celebrated at La Manga Club this year. The resort will be the setting for other prestigious competitions such as the Audi Channel+ Tournament in May, the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) in August and the traditional La Manga Club Open in December, as well as some others.
