Granada kick start their preseason at La Manga Club

The first and second Granada football teams arrived at La Manga Club on Monday to prepare for the upcoming season. This is their seventh visit to the resort.

La Manga Club, 22nd July 2015. From 20th to 30th July, Granada FC is staying at the Hotel Príncipe Felipe, whilst the B team will be lodged in the Las Lomas Village apartments on the resort.

Granada FC have returned to the resort for the seventh consecutive year, led by their coach Jose Ramón Sandoval, who will set foot onto the resort for the first time, where he will work on ensuring his players are on top form to tackle the upcoming season.

During their stay, both teams have a programme formed of a morning and evening training sessions and will also play several friendly matches against local teams.

The first of these matches was played at the La Manga Club football centre at 19:30 hrs on 21st July, as the second team faced Palmar, a local team based in Murcia. However, this won´t be the only game during their time at the resort. On Saturday 25th July, Granada B will also take on Wimbledon AFC at the facilities on the resort.

As for Granada´s first team, on Wednesday 22nd July they played a friendly match against Spanish team Hoya Lorca.

Thanks to the top class facilities boasted by the La Manga Club resort, and most notably the perfect condition of all 8 football pitches at the football centre, Granada FC has returned for the seventh consecutive year, this time sharing the facilities with other teams such as Wimbledon AFC and Moroccan team, Mas FC.

For over more than four decades, La Manga Club has hosted top football teams and elite athletes from all over the world, and has become the ideal location for preseason training. Over the last six months more than 100 football teams have paid a visit to the resort´s facilities. La Manga Club has now become the habitual destination for preseason training and pre-match training camps for international level clubs such as Borussia Dortmund. Other teams having visited the resort include Real Madrid, Liverpool FC and the national Spanish, Korean and English teams.

What´s more, Barcelona FC has chosen to return to La Manga Club for the second consecutive year in order to host their Barcelona FC Summer Camp from 27th to 31st July.
