The Inaugural Audi Movistar+ Golf Tour commences at La Manga Club

La Manga Club is hosting the best amateur golf tournament in Spain, the Inaugural Audi Movistar+ Golf Tour, for the fifth consecutive year this weekend. Participation figures are similar to the previous year’s, with approximately 1300 players entered into the tournament and around 800 at La Manga Club. There is great excitement to find out the venue for the international final, which will be announced at the opening party on Saturday 22nd at the Golf Academy.

La Manga Club, 20th April 2017 - The North, South and West Courses at La Manga Club will host the fifth edition of the Audi Movistar+ Tour this weekend, considered the best amateur golf tournament in Spain. The fifth season is looking promising, with a variety of prizes, 28 tournaments across Spain and two finals. The tournament features nine categories, of which the top 60 will compete in the national final.

The circuit presentation will take place at the Grand Opening Party (Saturday 22nd April at 19:30pm in the Golf Academy), where the venue for the International Final will be announced (the Fourth Edition was held in the Riviera Maya). The party will also be offering cocktails at their open bar, live music and lots of surprises for all attendees.

The tournament also offers side events for all participants: the main event is the Golf Trick Shot Boys show, you can also try the latest models of the Audi Q range, or visit the 'fitting' with the professionals from Castellana Golf and Wilson, who will give their top tips on deciding the length of golf clubs and the shaft that best fits the swing of each player

There are also contests where you can win a driving course, 'Audi Driving Experience', for those participants who manage to get a ball in the boot of one of their cars, or a weekend stay at the Prince Felipe 5* Hotel at La Manga Club, in a double room with breakfast and 2 green fees for the lucky one who managed to get the ball through an unstrung tennis racket.

Other sponsors such as Olagolf, Melia International, Solán de Cabras and Viajes Cornejo have also prepared fun activities and competitions that will test the participants’ skills, offering interesting prizes such as golf breaks or sports equipment.
