Football summer season at La Manga Club

La Manga Club is consolidated as a sports destination also for football, hosting 11 teams (confirmed so far) during the 2019 summer preseason, twice as much as during the previous year. It is worth mentioning the stay of Everton U23 (7-14 July) and AFC Bournemouth (10-17 July), the latter integrated in the highest category of English football. Partick Thistle, who play in the Scottish Premier League (24-29 June), and Goa in the Indian Super League, the country's most important competition, will also play there in the pre-season.

La Manga Club, 20th June 2019. –  La Manga Club kicks off the summer football preseason, which brings together national and international teams, academies and teams at the resort every year. This year La Manga Club has chosen a total of 11 teams that have already been confirmed, twice as many as during the pre-season 2018, which confirms Spain as a pre-season destination for both national and international football, with a wide variety of countries (India, England, Saudi Arabia, etc.).

It is worth mentioning the stay of Everton U23 (7-14 July) and AFC Bournemouth (10-17 July), the latter integrated in the highest category of English football. Partick Thistle, who play in the Scottish Premier League (24-29 June), the first to arrive at the complex, and Goa of the Indian Super League, the most important competition in the Asian country, will also play there during the pre-season.

Other teams that will heat up engines at La Manga Club are: Scunthorpe (30 June - 6 July), Doncaster Rovers (1-5 July) and Peterborough (4-9 July) from Football League One, and Swindon Town (8-12 July) from Football League Two. In addition, the Albacete Balompié (29 July - 3 August), the Arabia Saudi U-20 National Team (19 August - 1 September) and the David Campbell Soccer Academy (29 to 3 July) will pass through La Manga Club.

These 11 teams will bring together more than 200 footballers at the La Manga Club facilities, where they will be able to enjoy not only the complex's Football Centre, but also many other sports facilities such as the High Performance Centre, indoor swimming pool or gymnasium, all of which are widely used by the football teams to complete their training when they perform their preseason at La Manga Club.
