The third FC Barcelona football camp starts at La Manga Club

In the third edition of the FC Barcelona Camp, 135 boys and girls will take part in the camp and subsequently divided into 12 teams. In addition to training sessions, they will also able to enjoy other activities such as visits to the pool and viewings of sports videos.

La Manga Club, 25th July 2015. The Barça camp started this morning on the football pitches of La Manga Club with it already proving to be a great success in terms of participation numbers and efficient organisation. A total of 135 children aged between 7 and 17 years are taking part in the third edition of the FC Barcelona Escola Camp, a football training camp which continues to prove itself as one of the big summer events for children at La Manga Club.

This year, the camp takes place from 25th to 29th of July and those who will take part have the opportunity to stay overnight at the resort (ideal for those coming to La Manga Club for a family holiday) or to simply take part in the daily activities.

In addition to training sessions organised for the morning and afternoon, the young footballers will enjoy other fun activities whilst at the resort, such as going to the pool, watching sports videos and other team building activities with fellow team mates and the coaching staff.

The aim of the project is to convey values associated with the ideology of FC Barcelona to the young participants, such as leadership, hard-work, respect for others, team work and self-control, through playing football and other training activities.

Among all of the participants, the two children who stand out the most for their hard work and skill during the camp will be awarded with an all-expenses-paid week's visit to La Masia, Barcelona FC´s training ground where they will see for themselves exactly where players such as Messi or Iniesta train on a daily basis.
