La Manga Club, 9 of October 2018.- Emotions and nerves play a huge part on the day which the bride and groom have spent ages planning. But, it´s important to keep them at bay, that’s why here at La Manga Club we give you some advice so those nerves don’t ruin your big day.  Nerves can often play tricks on you and can turn your special day into a nightmare if you don’t know how to control them.

Advice for the wedding day

Time to get dressed: in order to avoid any unforeseen events, it´s best if you travel in something else and get dressed into your dress or suit at the very end.

Avoid changing your makeup: if you are the bride, avoid changing your makeup on the day to avoid any allergies or such problems. We advise you to do a trial run of your makeup before the big day. Don’t take any chances on your wedding day, so we advise avoiding waxing.

Watch what you eat: try to avoid eating foods that cause swelling or discomfort for up to 48 hours before your wedding.

Let’s get going: try to arrange a pick up for the bride that is close in proximity to where she is getting ready. It is important to bear in mind that streets may be dirty and that the weather can be unpredictable and change at minute.

Alternative route: make sure the driver knows the route and any alternative routes there may be in case of any unforeseen events, such as: traffic jams, road works etc.

Break in your shoes: one thing you never think about is your shoes, but they are such an important part of your day. To avoid sustaining any injuries or discomfit on the day, we advise that you break your shoes in before your wedding, in order to get used to them.

Assign people you trust to important tasks, such as carrying the train of your gown or having your vows. This way you will feel more at ease and everything will go smoothly. They could be your bridesmaids or any other guest, this is your choice.

It is advisable to rehearse your vows several times in front of the mirror so that the nerves of public speaking as well as your nerves on the day do not stop you.

Give it your all! Take other shoes such as a wedge or dancing shoes with you because at night time your feet will get tired or your shoes may not turn out as comfortable as you would have hoped.

Just one last tip: IT´S YOUR DAY, ENJOY!
