The Winter Season has arrived at La Manga Club's Football Centre
From January to late March, about 80 teams and European national sides will be staying at La Manga Club for their winter training. Among them are two of the top teams from the Norwegian league, RSC Anderlecht and Dinamo Zagreb, and the German U16 and U17 national teams.
La Manga Club, 14th January 2016. The Football Centre at La Manga Club opened 2016 with the arrival of the first of many teams who are coming for their winter training. The 5th January saw the return of RSC Anderlecht and the German U16 and U17 national teams. With the high concentration of talent scouts attending these games organised by the Football Centre at La Manga Club, these young players have a great opportunity to be signed by some of the best teams in Europe.
Germany, Belgium, England, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Turkey, Slovakia, Portugal, Croatia, Poland and Russia are among the countries being represented by the teams using the training facilities at the Football Centre in La Manga Club. The first game was played on January 6th between STVV and Antwerp FC, and then on Friday 8th, RSC Anderlecht played Vitesse on Pitch A. On Wednesday 13th the German U16 National side played against the UCAM National at 4:30pm on Pitch A. They were followed straight afterwards by the German U17 National side at 6:30pm who played against the UCAM División de Honor.
The international scouts, who are staying at La Manga Club during these months, will have the opportunity to discover new youth talent in the Under 17s and 19s International tournament which starts on the 10th February when Turkey battle against Sweden and Norway take on the Czech Republic.
