The first women’s football teams arrive at La Manga Club

After the first few busy weeks of January in which we’ve seen the arrival of around fifteen professional football clubs at La Manga Club’s facilities, it’s now the turn of the women’s teams to grace the pitch here in south-eastern Spain. The Norwegian, Dutch, Scottish, English and Icelandic national women’s teams will be staying at La Manga Club over the next ten days.

The German club VfB Stuttgart yesterday presented the German international, Mario Gomez, during their stay at La Manga Club’s Football Centre over the winter break. The player, who has been a regular in the German national side, is now facing his latest challenge in a career that has been glittered with success at the highest level. Having returned to the club where his career first started, he now has the challenge of being selected for the World Cup this summer in Russia.

Chelsea FC Foundation’s Soccer Schools for kids are coming to La Manga Club in April, July and August of 2018. Take this unique opportunity to develop your game at all skill levels and ages, available for boys and girls aged between 6 and 16. The Councillor of Public Works and Transport opens the access road to La Manga Club following an investment of 2.4 million euros

The Los Belones - Atamaría road, which provides access to La Manga Club, has just been formally opened. The works to improve and widen the road began in April 2016, and following an investment of 2.4 million Euros, it was envisaged that it would improve the traffic flow on over 1.5 million journeys per year.
The winter break is now underway at La Manga Club’s Football Centre

At the start of each year, the Football Centre at La Manga Club continues to break attendance records over a period of three months. The winter break is upon us and with it we welcome international teams from more than 25 countries, many of which compete in the Champions League and various other top European competitions. Over the coming months, up to 150 teams and more than 4000 professional players will be developing and training at La Manga Club.
