La Manga Club, 19th April 2017. The South Course at La Manga Club course is without doubt the best golf courses in Murcia and one of the best courses in Spain. It has hosted many major professional tournaments, amongst which are various Spanish Opens, PGA Championships and European Tour qualifying schools. It is almost 6500 metres from the white tees, with water hazards on 15 of its 18 holes and few hidden dangers.

The front nine are particularly challenging with two par 3s in excess of 200 metres, and some daunting par 4s which call for accurate driving between lakes and bunkers. The back nine, although shorter, has a number of intriguing dog-leg holes.

Practical tips: how to play hole 10 of the South Course

Par 4 – Handicap 13 – White: 342 metres Yellow: 326 metres Red: 249 metres Blue: 310 metres

Hole 10 is a fairly hard dogleg left. The perfect shot is a 3 wood in the middle of the fairway between the bunkers  ,the second shot will be made with a medium iron. It is important not hit the ball too much to the left due an out of bounds on the left side edge. The green is protected by a bunker on the right-hand side. It is a very narrow green and with an inclination, it is necessary to position the ball in the appropriate area of the green to avoid 3 putts.
