Companies and workers of the golf sector sign a new collective agreement
La Manga Club has been the venue chosen for the signing of the new collective agreement for the development of Golf Courses and services. The negotiation has been carried out in the last year by the Association of Golf Employers in the Region of Murcia (AEGOLF RM), and the trade unions CCOO, UGT and CSIF. This new agreement is a clear step for the creation of employment, the reconciliation of workers and the improvement of their purchasing power. The signing has taken place today Friday 28th at 1 pm at La Manga Club.
Today at La Manga Club, companies and workers in Murcia’s golf sector have signed a new collective agreement for the Development of Golf and Services. The agreement is a clear commitment to the creation of new jobs, the reconciliation of workers and an increase in their purchasing power, amongst other improvements. The agreement has been achieved thanks to the negotiations held in the past year between Murcia’s Golf Employers Association (AEGOLF RM) and the unions CCOO, UGT and CSIF.
Additionally, the new collective agreement introduces measures to promote flexibility in work organisation, making the companies more competitive and modernising the system of professional groups in accordance with the demands of enterprises and workers.
The golf industry has great strategic importance in the region, both due to the number of companies that it brings together and jobs (direct and indirect) it generates, as well as for the model of tourism, based on quality and sustainability.
The Association of Golf Courses was set up in 2005 as an employer’s association responsible for encouraging the development of this sector through various actions.
The signing of the agreement took place today, Friday April 28 at La Manga Club at 1 pm, between representatives of the association, companies and unions, which have all collaborated in this negotiation.
