260 event organisers gather from all over the United Kingdom for ‘The Global Travel Group’ event at La Manga Club

La Manga Club has brought together the best travel agents from across the UK. ‘The Global Travel Group’ chain, the largest independent travel organisation from the United Kingdom, hosted their annual meeting at the resort, which was a great success in terms of organisation and participation.

La Manga Club, May 29th 2017 – Over the past couple of days, La Manga Club has been incredibly busy. The reason behind this was that over 260 independent travel agents from the United Kingdom came to celebrate their annual event at the resort. ‘The Global Travel Group 2017’ was a great success in terms of participation and organisation by La Manga Club - another challenge surpassed in the preparation for further large corporate events.

Welcoming those attending, the breakfasts, the lunches, organising travel arrangements between the different locations of the events, preparation of the conference rooms and themed parties. All of the aforementioned tasks are just some of the many responsibilities that were needed to be completed over the past couple of days at La Manga Club for the smooth running and effective organisation of this large corporate event.

The participants travelled to La Manga Club to attend a series of conferences from well-known personalities from the travel industry, such as Martin Alcock, the director of ‘The Travel Trade Consultancy’, who enlightened the attendees regarding the changes in travel regulations and trends. Helen Goodwin, director of ‘Made You Look’, explained why first impressions are crucial for a business and how to stand out from the competition. Jonathan Collins talked about the IT projects concerning tourist groups and revealed changes in the technology of ‘Global Travel Group’.

Other reputable personalities who didn’t want to miss the event were the journalist Jeremy Skidmore, who explained how to improve presentation skills and communication with other people, and Jane MacDonald. The singer and presenter shared the importance of effectively managing her brand throughout her career of 19 years.

In addition to participating in the conference, those attending had time to experience and enjoy the other facilities available at La Manga Club. The pool, spa, different restaurants in the resort, a gala dinner and thematic parties – like the ‘White Night’ – are but a few of the examples of the facilities that they enjoyed during their stay. Music also played an important part during their time here at La Manga Club, which was highlighted by a performance by the group ‘5 After Midnight’, finalists of the famous TV show, ‘X Factor’.

‘The Global Travel Group’ is a large event that La Manga Club has the privilege of hosting and one that the Town Council of Cartagena readily supports. The mayor of the city, José López, was present on Saturday 20th May at La Manga Club to show the organisers and all those attending the event the great pride that Cartagena has at having been chosen as the location for this fantastic annual event.
