Bangsbo highlighted the facilities and the football pitches at La Manga Club as well as the importance of good nutrition and climate – two of the aspects that football teams that come to the resort also emphasise – as being necessary to optimize the efficacy of training.
He also underlined the necessity of knowing what point of physical fitness an athlete is at in order to plan appropriate training, the type of training they need and the effects that this will have both during and after the session. This is something that can be found out through a variety of fitness tests that La Manga Club provides at its High Performance Sports Centre.
