Come and enjoy the great festival of football in La Manga Club with the MUNDIAVOCAT 2016
Football matches, gastronomy, entertainment and live music are just a few of the things that await you at La Manga Club from 13th to 22nd May with the celebration of the Football World Cup for lawyers - MUNDIAVOCAT 2016. This great footballing spectacle has more than 2,000 players from some 38 different countries taking part, you can´t afford to miss it?
La Manga Club, 13th May 2016 – By the end of the day, most of the 100 plus teams that are participating in the World Cup for lawyers, MUNDIAVOCAT 2016, will have arrived at La Manga Club. The great festival of football, that takes place from 13th to 22nd May, is the biggest sporting and corporate event ever to be held at La Manga Club in its 43-year history.
The matches will be played in the morning and afternoon. It is free to watch but access will be limited to the capacity of the grounds. In addition to the matches, everyone is welcome to come along to the MUNDIAVOCAT Village and any of La Manga Club’s many restaurants and bars. During this tournament there will also be an extensive programme of entertainment.
MUNDIAVOCAT Football matches
The first matches will begin on Saturday 14th from 2pm. These opening games will follow the tournament’s opening ceremony which takes place in the morning.
With the exception of Tuesday, a free day for all participants, the competition will continue with games every morning and afternoon until Saturday 21st May.
The Mundiavocat Village is located at the La Manga Club Football Centre, the Village will be open throughout the tournament and you will find booths offering drinks, snacks and a variety of different food styles. There will also be public services, space to regain your strength between games and information about the resort and real estate.
The village is open from 12 noon until 8pm with the exception of the coffee booth which opens an hour earlier (at 11am). Tickets need to be purchased to use the food and drinks booths and can be done so at the ‘Ticket Sales’ booth located within the MUNDIAVOCAT Village.
Throughout the celebration of the MUNDIAVOCAT, all of our bars and restaurants, except for the Dharma, will be open. The Italian - Luigi and Deli Cafe (in Las Lomas Village), Amapola, Sol y Sombra and Piano Bar (in the Príncipe Felipe 5* Hotel), Asia, La Cala (open every day) and 37 Spike and Sports Bar, La Bodega and Mulligans (in La Plaza).
Leisure and entertainment
Both Mulligans (located in La Plaza) and Piano Lounge Bar (in the Principe Felipe 5* Hotel) will have a full range of leisure and entertainment.
Mulligans will be combining some new events with the usual favourites:
- Flair tender cocktail: From 18th to 21th May, from 12pm to 2am - you can enjoy a wide range of cocktails.
- Live music: Every day of the week from 10.30pm, there will be live music, DJs, karaoke, rock shows and local groups.
- The best big screen sports TV: This is the place to come if you don’t want to miss any of the big international and national football matches. Check out our Events section on our Facebook page to find out what games will be showing each day. Some of the big matches coming soon are Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund, the final of the Europa League between Liverpool and Sevilla and the Copa Libertadores with Boca Junior and Nacional Montevídeo. You can also watch the Formula 1 and the best football from the English and Scottish leagues.
In the Piano Bar there will also be live music every day of the week. Expect to see some new faces like Los Duques and John Hides, along side the regulars who liven up the nights in the Hotel such as Upside Down, Two Twenties and the One Man Orchestra - Dougie Munro.
