STRICT SECURITY MEASURES AND HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS
TO GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY

 

At La Manga Club, the well-being of our employees and guests is a priority, therefore, in order to face the current COVID-19 context, we have redesigned rigorous and exhaustive protocols and enhanced our cleaning and disinfection practices.

For the implementation of these protocols, both the guidelines of the World Health Organization and the regulations on the new normality published in the Spanish Royal Decree-Law 21/2020 of June 9 have been taken into account.

At this time, our mission is to avoid the risk of community contagion, for this reason all the actions that have been developed aim to protect, care for and guarantee the safety of our guests and employees during the provision of the service.

The development of these cleaning and disinfection protocols complement the operating procedures developed prior to the current situation on COVID-19, in addition, the technical instructions and expertise of Diversey, our world leading partner in cleaning and hygiene solutions, have also been incorporated.

We have prepared for this situation by developing a contingency plan in which a dedicated risk management committee assumes the definition of strategies and decision-making when necessary, and whose objective would be to determine and implement an action protocol in the event that an employee or client shows symptoms compatible with COVID-19.

Below are some of the measures and protocols that La Manga Club has implemented in the different areas, designed in partnership with Diversey and under the "Safe Travels" seal of the World Travel & Tourism Council.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT OBLIGATIONS TO ADHERE TO:

1.- All citizens must adopt the necessary measures to avoid the generation of risks of spread of the COVID-19 disease, as well as their own exposure to these risks. Said duty of caution and protection will also be required of the holders of any activity.

Respiratory etiquette standards must be observed, as well as, whenever possible, the maintenance of interpersonal safety distances of at least 1.5 meters.

2.- On public roads and outdoor spaces, and in any closed space for public use or that is open to the public, the use of a face mask will be mandatory.

3.- The face mask must cover the mouth and nose, covering from the chin to the nasal septum, so that the nostrils are not exposed.

PRE-OPENING PREPARATION

  • Hygiene and disinfection tasks have been reinforced for reopening in all hotel facilities, using disinfectant products: SUMA CHLORDES CONC D10.45 and SUMA BAC D10 with viricidal and biocidal efficacy, suitable for food and non-food surfaces, guaranteed by Diversey and by the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare.

UPON ARRIVAL

  • Disinfecting mats with a water and disinfectant solution have been installed at the entrance to the hotel to ensure disinfection of shoe soles and suitcase wheels.
  • We encourage payment with cards and contactless devices.
  • Glass partitions have been installed in the reception and safety distance marks on the floor.
  • Disinfection and sterilization of the magnetic keys of the rooms after each use.
  • A sanitary kit with mask, gloves and gel is available at the reception.

STAFF & GUESTS

  • Checks on the well-being and health of colleagues and customers are regularly carried out.
  • Adequate protection of employees is ensured and guaranteed through hand hygiene and by providing the appropriate PPE.
  • Rules of use and behaviour have been developed for our work teams that range from uniformity, making it compulsory to exclusively wear the uniform within the work area, prohibiting access to people outside the activity and reinforcing training with updates and focusing them on hygiene and disinfection practices.
  • An internal audit programme has been defined to verify compliance with the protocols and procedures implemented in the face of this current situation.

ROOMS

  • Enhanced hygiene and cleaning processes throughout the room with products with virucidal effect endorsed by Diversey.
  • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection processes with special emphasis on frequently used surfaces.
  • Extension of the check-in time to 16:00 to increase the time spent cleaning and sanitising each room.
  • Removal of stationery and other shared in-room items.

COMMUNAL AREAS

  • Rules for the use of shared facilities and spaces have been established to maintain and guarantee the minimum safety distance in elevators, dining rooms, accesses, common areas and changing rooms.
  • Specific hygiene and disinfection protocols, adapted to the hotel's facilities, have been developed .
  • In common areas, we will keep the forced ventilation systems operating, providing maximum outside air to the spaces.
  • Hand sanitizing gels, wipes and specific signage have been installed to remind our clients of social distancing measures and proper hygiene practices.
  • Common areas with hydroalcoholic gel dispensers that are regularly replenished.
  • Maximum capacities established to guarantee the minimum safety distance between people.

  • Lounge chairs and umbrellas are distanced to guarantee social distancing.
  • Optimal maintenance and cleaning of pool water is reinforced.
  • Capacity is limited in the pool area.
  • The frequency of cleaning and disinfecting the pool area and furniture is intensified.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

  • Crockery, cutlery and glassware are washed and disinfected in industrial dish washing machines at 80ºC.
  • In order to guarantee food safety, in addition to complying with the indications established in the HACCP manual, the procedures and records have been modified and adapted according to the new instructions, increasing cleaning and disinfection frequencies, as a complement, sterilization of all frequently used items.
  • We tailor our breakfast service to optimize movement flows and limit food handling.
  • The processes during the reception of goods have been redefined, emphasizing the control of suppliers and verifying the vehicles that are used to transport raw materials.

  • Together with the health authorities and the respective federations, rules and guidelines for the use of the facilities have been defined before, during and after the game.
  • The reservation of the facilities and / or academies digitally or by phone is recommended.

MEETINGS AND EVENTS

  • Protection, hygiene and social distancing measures are indicated in all event rooms.
  • Maximum capacity is limited to ensure safe distancing.
