From a young age Andrés Lledó knew that his life would be highly charged with emotion and risk taking. As a young man he joined the Spanish army’s paratrooper corps and was subsequently sent to assist in peace operations in the Balkans (Kosovo) with NATO at the start of 2000.
After leaving the armed forces he specialised in marine rescue for the Spanish Maritime Safety Agency. Throughout all this, he has amassed an impressive number of sporting titles and eventually decided to specialise in long-distance running. Andrés combines his sporting life with his working life as a rescue swimmer in the Spanish Maritime Safety Agency helicopter service. Some of his most notable titles include a Grand Slam 4 Deserts (Sahara, Gobi, Atacama, Antarctica), a GR XTREM, an Atacama Crossing, two Utra trail Anetos, and an Isostar Desert Marathon, plus many more.
