Popular with golfers of all ages, there are few golf travel venues in the world more famous than Spain’s iconic La Manga Club and the resort is in contention for further international acclaim – including being named as Spain’s best golf resort for a remarkable ninth year running.
The leading sports and leisure destination in Murcia is one of nine venues that have been nominated for the top accolade at the 2020 Today’s Golfer Travel Awards.
La Manga Club has won the top honour in Spain every year since it was introduced, and the resort is hoping to double up at this year’s awards with its renowned South Course – a five-time venue of the Spanish Open – one of eight layouts shortlisted for the title of Spain’s best golf course.
Voted for annually by readers of the UK’s best-selling golf magazine and visitors to its website, the Today’s Golfer Travel Awards recognise the most prestigious golf destinations in the UK and Europe, and this year’s nominees feature some of Spain’s most famous courses including Valderrama, Finca Cortesin and Abama.
Voting for the awards is open until Saturday November 30 and votes can be cast by going to www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/travel-awards/
Three times the size of Monaco, La Manga Club – named ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’ at the World Golf Awards in 2017 and 2018 – has been a favourite destination of golfers worldwide for the last five decades.
