ANNOUNCEMENT ON LA MANGA CLUB RE-OPENING

Good afternoon,
We cast our minds back three months, to a point where we had very little understanding of just how Covid-19 would impact all our lives in one form or another. It has been an extremely tough time for many of us and I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families that have lost loved ones during this crisis.
La Manga Club closed its doors on March 16th and since then we have had a skeleton team in place to look after the maintenance of the facilities and communication with guests, suppliers, and travel companies. It has been a steep learning curve for all of us and would like to thank you all for your patience and support during this period.
Following recent positive news from governments, airline companies and border controls, La Manga Club’s owning company, Grupo Hesperia, have taken the decision that on July 1st we will once again be open for business, which is very exciting and fantastic news for those seeking respite, relaxation, sunshine and a very warm Spanish welcome!
Taking into consideration the low occupancy this summer, the following facilities will be open as of July 1st:
Accommodation: All guests will stay in the 5* Principe Felipe Hotel. For any guests with a reservation in Las Lomas Village Apartments for July and August, we kindly ask you to contact the reservation department to discuss your options. Alternatively, we will be in contact with you very soon.
Restaurants: Amapola restaurant will be open for breakfast and dinner. Sol y Sombra (by the hotel swimming pool) and La Cala restaurants will be open for lunch. Piano Bar will be open to relax and enjoy your pre and post evening meal drinks. Room service will also be available.
Golf: The North (currently open) and South golf courses will be open as well as the Golf Academy and practice and driving range facilities. Par 47, the West Course and Bar37 will remain closed until further notice however all golfers will be able to use the Sol y Sombra restaurant and bar during the day for refreshments and some al fresco dining.
Tennis and Bowling Green: The tennis courts and the bowling green will be open as well as the tennis academy.
Football Academy: Reservations for La Manga Club Football Academy are now open. The Academy will run from 20 July through 22 August.
La Cala Beach: As well as the lunch service, the beach will be available for guests to enjoy.
Guests should be advised that as of July 1st and until further notice there will be no shuttle service on the resort.

La Manga Club is very privileged to be in the beautiful region of Murcia, which has been considered throughout the pandemic, one of the safest regions in Spain and Europe. We aim to keep it that way and will work tirelessly to implement and adopt all measures to ensure guests can arrive and enjoy their stay feeling safe, secure, and most importantly relaxed.
Finally, I would like to mention, that given the importance of safety and well-being of La Manga Club guests, we will continue to review the opening of additional facilities over the coming months, and therefore can only guarantee at this stage the aforementioned facilities.
We strive to offer the very best customer experience and really hope that the new normal will be enjoyed by many at La Manga Club.
