Try dishes with textures and flavours that are authentically Mediterranean. The chef, Paulo Vaz, reviews the classics whilst putting his own personal touch. The La Manga Club restaurant offers a wide range of options on its newly renovated menu. The selection of Mediterranean products is categorised by: dishes to share, starters, rice and pasta, fish and seafood, meat, and finally, desserts.

‘Amapola’ provides the perfect harmony of flavours which were traditionally combined, with that of the more adventurous cuisine, ‘neoclassical cuisine’. The menu consists of delicious dishes to share such as: cured Flor de Esgueva cheese and home-made mi-cuit foie lacquered with black tea. The starters are also varied. You can try, for example, a seasonal salad with berries and duck ham, or choose a salad of farm egg over green asparagus ratatouille and fresh greens with a sweet red wine vinaigrette, as well as other tasty dishes.

Within the selection of main dishes, you can find typical mixed paella as well as more elaborate creations, of which ‘Amapola’ is already known for its large variety of fresh products. From the sea, you can have the tuna ingot, red wine ragout with sweet potato and ginger purée or the ½ grilled lobster tail, spicy tomato coulis and capers. The choice of raw materials, as far as meat is concerned, is also unique. You can ask, just to name a few of their ‘delicatessen’, a delicious sirloin steak on a bed of wild mushrooms preserved in vermouth, truffle gravy, breaded potato croquettes. The dessert menu is equally at a high level of excellence, which ‘Amapola’ restaurant exudes. With respect to the wine list, it is a selective menu and of course, with the advice of a sommelier which can suggest the perfect combination to bring out the flavours of each individual dish. A menu which can satisfy the taste buds of even the most selective of palates.
